The United Arab Emirates (UAE), often referred to simply as the Emirates, is located in Western Asia at the eastern end of the Arabian Peninsula. It shares land borders with Oman and Saudi Arabia and maritime borders in the Persian Gulf with Qatar and Iran.

As of 2013, the UAE held the fifth-largest international migrant population in the world, with 7.8 million migrants out of a total population of 9.2 million. Migrant workers form the backbone of the UAE’s economy, comprising about 80% of the resident population and 90% of the total workforce.

If you’re planning to travel to the UAE for employment or residency, a pre-departure medical examination at a GAMCA (Gulf Approved Medical Centers Association) authorized center is mandatory. This test ensures that applicants meet the health standards required by UAE authorities.
