Kuwait, officially known as the State of Kuwait, is located in Western Asia at the northern edge of Eastern Arabia. It borders Iraq to the north, Saudi Arabia to the south, and shares maritime boundaries with Iran. With a coastline stretching around 500 kilometers along the Persian Gulf, Kuwait plays a strategic regional role.

To work and reside in Kuwait, all foreign nationals must be sponsored by a local employer under the country’s sponsorship (kafeel) system. However, there have been ongoing discussions about reforming this system. In 2008, MP Abdullah Al-Roumi proposed legislation to abolish the current sponsorship system in favor of a government-managed process, aiming to improve worker rights and reduce exploitation.

As part of the visa process, it is mandatory to undergo a pre-departure medical examination at a GAMCA (Gulf Approved Medical Centers Association) authorized clinic. This medical test is essential to ensure the health eligibility of applicants traveling to Kuwait for employment and residency.

Oman, officially the Sultanate of Oman, is a country located in Western Asia on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. As of February 2021, expatriates make up approximately 29% of Oman’s population—around 1.44 million out of a total 4.5 million people. Among them are roughly 140,000 domestic workers, all of whom fall under the kafala (sponsorship) system. The primary countries supplying foreign workers to Oman include Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Egypt.

If you are planning to travel to Oman for work or residence, it is mandatory to undergo a pre-departure medical examination at a GAMCA (Gulf Approved Medical Centers Association) authorized medical center. This health check is a vital requirement for obtaining your visa and ensuring you meet the medical standards set by the Omani authorities.
